Claire Pickett
Claire Pickett is a family friend. On April 28th, at the age of 10, she was diagnosed with a terrible disease, called Aplastic anemia. However, Claire is a fighter and she will defeat this. She has undergone the Immunnosuppression therapy and has five possible bone marrow donors if that does not work. She loves to paint and create designs for dolls and people. Also, she has a kitty and two dogs that she loves very much! Claire has a very rare bone marrow disorder called "aplastic anemia".
Aplastic anemia is a noncontagious disease which occurs when the bone marrow stops producing blood cells. Bone marrow is the red, spongy, inner part of the bone and is responsible for supplying the body with three types of blood cells: red blood cells which deliver oxygen to all parts of the body, white blood cells which protect the body from germs, and platelets needed for blood to clot.
Claire loves the lollitops, and she thought it would be a great idea to give the little girls at Texas Children's Hospital Lollitops Too! When you purchase Lollitops from Maggie Mae's Designs, 15% of the Purchase will go towards giving the little girls at Texas Children's Hospital Lollitops. Every month will we send Lollitops to Texas Children's Hospital, so that they may be passed out to all the little girls, who need them. Also, after you receive your Lollitops if you want to, send pictures of your girls in the hats to info@maggiemaesdesigns.com and we will post them on our website.
